Ces conversation s\u2019inscrivent dans le dialogue \u00e9tablie entre \u00c9l\u00e9onore Hellio et moi durant la r\u00e9sidence, et font suite \u00e0 des probl\u00e9matiques importantes du travail d\u2019\u00c9l\u00e9onore. Pour l\u2019instant, une dizaine de personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sollicit\u00e9es. Toutes ont particip\u00e9 directement ou influenc\u00e9 les recherches du programme. Selon le protocole d\u00e9finit au pr\u00e9alable, chaque participant est amen\u00e9 \u00e0 choisir au minimum un concept, et \u00e0<i> <\/i>le ou les traiter dans un laps de temps allant de deux \u00e0 dix minutes. Le lieu des rencontres est d\u00e9fini par la personne interview\u00e9e. Les films sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019aide de la cam\u00e9ra d\u2019un t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable. Cette facture est un parti pris. Il s\u2019agit avant tout d\u2019\u00e9viter une esth\u00e9tisation trop forte de l\u2019image au profit de plans envisag\u00e9s comme des notes en mouvements. Les entretiens ne sont pas mont\u00e9s, et restent \u00e0 ce jours<i> in progress.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>9.0<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Il serait d\u00e9sirable et possible que l\u2019auteur r\u00e9alis\u00e2t ses films lui m\u00eame, et mieux encore que l\u2019un des cin\u00e9mimes, puisqu\u2019il ne peut \u00eatre aussi son propre photographe, f\u00fbt le compositeur et le metteur en sc\u00e8ne de l\u2019\u0153uvre[\u2026]\u00a0\u00bb, \u00c9lie Faure,<i> De la Cin\u00e9plastique<\/i>, dans L\u2019Arbre d\u2019\u00c9den, Cr\u00e8s, 1922.<\/p>\n<p>10.0<\/p>\n<p>Durant l\u2019entretient avec le groupe de jazz Plan\u00e8te Lindela, Zoulou, le contrebassiste, interpelle la cam\u00e9ra. En s\u2019adressant frontalement au r\u00e9alisateur du film, il franchi la distance g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement observ\u00e9e entre le chercheur et son sujet et d\u00e9place ainsi les r\u00f4les. Zoulou, en modifiant le cadre de l\u2019interview, interroge notre pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 2h du matin dans un bar ill\u00e9gal de Soweto*. La particularit\u00e9 de cette vid\u00e9o tient ainsi du fait que ses acteurs en sont \u00e9galement les \u00ab\u00a0cin\u00e9plastes\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>* <i>Township<\/i> de la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie de Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<p>10.1<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cI\u2019m afraid ! Plus tard, nous discutons hors cam\u00e9ra. La conversation touche \u00e0 sa fin, on parle de<i> post-colonial pussy<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>11.0<\/p>\n<p><i>To do a Soweto \/\u00a0 Narcoturismo<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>12.0<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019entretien avec le groupe Planet Lindela a d\u00e9clench\u00e9 des r\u00e9actions tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes. Avec \u00c9l\u00e9onore, nous l\u2019appr\u00e9cions particuli\u00e8rement pour la spontan\u00e9it\u00e9 des personnes interview\u00e9es et la franchise de leurs propos. Dorothee Kreutzfeld, au contraire parle de mise en sc\u00e8ne, de vision machiste et de victimisation. Il est vrai que l\u2019entretient ne donne \u00e0 voir qu\u2019une partie de la conversation. Il existe tout un passage de la soir\u00e9e, hors cam\u00e9ra, qui n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9dit\u00e9 et qui donne des \u00e9l\u00e9ments suppl\u00e9mentaires pour bien comprendre le contexte. C\u2019est l\u2019inconv\u00e9nient du principe que nous avons impos\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>13.0<\/p>\n<p>Dorothee Kreutzfeld est artiste. Elle travaille depuis des ann\u00e9es conjointement avec Bettina Malcomess. Toutes deux sont enseignantes \u00e0 la <i>Wits School of Arts <\/i>et<i> <\/i>\u00e9voluent en cons\u00e9quence dans un milieu culturel dynamique et mixte. Dans leur recherches respectives, Dorothee et Bettina t\u00e9moignent d\u2019une attention particuli\u00e8re et d\u2019une r\u00e9elle lucidit\u00e9 vis \u00e0 vis de leur environnement. Un peu apr\u00e8s la rencontre avec Planet Lindela, nous leur demandons de participer \u00e0 la s\u00e9rie de <i>Note Vid\u00e9os<\/i>. Nous rencontrons d\u2019abord s\u00e9par\u00e9ment, puis ensemble, dans leur bureau \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9. Devant la cam\u00e9ra elles s\u2019expriment avec soin. Pour appuyer leurs propos, elles utilisent des extraites pioch\u00e9s dans les livres qui les entoures et se renvois mutuellement des citations interpos\u00e9es. L\u00e0 aussi, ce n\u2019est qu\u2019une fois la cam\u00e9ra rang\u00e9e que Dorothee nous fait part de son agacement au sujet de la vid\u00e9o de Planet Lindela.<\/p>\n<p>14.0<\/p>\n<p>Dans <i>Writing the City into Being: Essays on Johannesburg<\/i>, Lindsay Bremner cite l\u2019anthropologue britannique Mary Douglas \u00e0 propos de la notion \u00ab\u00a0Sale\u00a0\u00bb [\u201c<i>Dirty<\/i>\u201d]\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0<i>Dirty is matter out of place<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb.
